What you need to know to choose your photo session location
Choosing the location for the session is, most of the time, a great difficulty for the families and couples that I photograph.
"I don't see any nice places" and "you're the photographer, you get to choose" are phrases I hear and read often.
To help you overcome this difficulty, I share with you three tips that will inspire you when it comes time to choose where you will do your family, couple, or solo photo session.
1. Think of a place where you feel comfortable.
Imagine that you choose a very busy place and you don't feel comfortable with many people around you. You won't be able to let go, you won't be yourself, and it will show throughout the session and in the photos you will receive.
2. It doesn't have to be the most beautiful place you know.
The truth is that the focus of the images is you, and so the location does not necessarily have to be magazine cover worthy.
The ingredients for a beautiful image are 80% you and 20% the place where we are photographing.
3. You can choose a location that is meaningful to you.
The place where you met your better half, where you kissed her for the first time, where you usually go for a walk with your kids, or your home are some of the ideas of special places for a photo shoot.
Of course you can always count on my help to choose where to have your photo session. Whether on the beach, in the city, in the countryside or in the forest, as a photographer I am always aware of my surroundings and memorize places to help "my" families and couples in this very important aspect.
Now that you have a better idea of how to choose the location for your session, let's create your unique and authentic memories, find out all about it here.
